We are a group of collaborating Forest Therapy Guide professionals from different European countries who have joined together to form an innovative and unique Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy training programme.  We come from a variety of professional backgrounds and are currently at the forefront of Forest Therapy in our home countries, working within our own organizations. We have set up the EFTI:

To meet the urgent need for supported nature connection so people can avail of free and accessible health restoration and generate a desire for nature conservation.

To offer European trainings and integrative support - based on the latest research - adapted to each culture, language, land and history.

To establish a strong European network of guides, aiming at cultural interchange, sharing and support.

To promote Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy as sustainable ecosystem services to benefit both the planet and its population.

Our individual backgrounds work together to provide the EFTI with the skills needed to train, support and develop Forest Therapy/Bathing practices in Europe.

>> To prepare Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy guides to work in the areas of ecowellness, ecotourism, lifestyle/preventative medicine, research and clinical treatment.

>> To utilise the international evidence base to develop state of the art Forest Bathing and Forest Therapy programmes and interventions.

>> EFTI aims to continuously achieve high standards of professional practice by developing and promoting continuous professional development (CPD).
